Frequently asked questions
Is it skip-the-line?
No, and nobody can honestly promise that. Your lift time is reserved and the tickets are bought, so you will not queue at a ticket desk, but the tower's security check applies to every visitor. There can also be a short wait for the summit lift.
Does the guide come to the summit?
The guide is with you up to the 2nd floor and tells the story there. You then take the summit lift on your own and stay as long as you like.
What if the summit is closed?
The summit sometimes closes for wind or crowds. If that happens, the tour goes ahead to the 2nd floor and we refund the difference between the summit and 2nd-floor prices.
Can children join?
Yes. Children of every age are welcome: under-4s go free, and 4–17s pay the youth rate. Pushchairs must be folded in the lifts, so a baby carrier is easier.
Is the river cruise guided?
The cruise has recorded audio commentary on board. Your guide's part of the tour ends at the tower; we walk you to the boat, a few minutes away, and your 1-hour cruise ticket is ready.
Is there a night tour in summer?
Yes. From June to August there are 18:00 and 21:00 departures as well as 09:00. The 21:00 tour shows you the tower and the city at dusk, and the cruise is after dark. From September to May the times are 09:00 and 17:00.
How big is the group?
8 guests at most, plus your guide. Since 29 September 2026 the Eiffel Tower treats groups of more than 9 people (guide included) differently, so we never go above 8 guests.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time, with a full refund.
Is the tour in English?
